We believe a diverse and inclusive workforce makes Mosaic stronger and better enables us to fulfill our mission: To help the world grow the food it needs. Whether working in our mines, distribution facilities or offices, thousands of employees are part of a global Mosaic team that is richly diverse in skills, experiences and backgrounds.

As one example, our Canada Potash business developed a Representative Workforce Strategy to promote and advance aboriginal recruitment, training and hiring at our operations in Saskatchewan. We strive to increase the number of aboriginal people in the workforce, retain those workers, and strengthen relations with aboriginal communities. Our strategy includes hiring, training, education, and professional development, as well as access to procurement and supplier opportunities for members of aboriginal communities in Saskatchewan.

Because the diversity and gender balancing needs of our business vary by operating geography, we have set an intermediate target to define and track those needs. In the meantime, we are assessing structural and behavioral changes required to make Mosaic more welcoming to all employees. Our Commitment to Inclusion reinforces that we are focused on building a representative workforce that embraces the opportunities diversity brings to the workplace.
