LAKELAND, FL, May 27, 2025 – There’s 60 reasons to cheer for the home team this baseball season. The Mosaic Company is proud to announce the “Strike Out Hunger” partnership with the Lakeland Flying Tigers. For every strikeout by a Flying Tigers pitcher during a home game, Mosaic will donate $60 for hunger relief efforts, benefiting two Lakeland organizations: One More Child, a part of Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, and kidsPACK.  

The Lakeland Flying Tigers season began in April. To date, the Tigers have had 173 strikeouts at home, totaling a $10,380 donation so far from Mosaic.  

“We’re excited for this partnership with the Lakeland Flying Tigers to strike out hunger in our communities,” said Mosaic Public Affairs Manager Morgan Odum. “As a major employer in Polk County, we’re dedicated to taking care of our communities and the people who live there. We look forward to cheering on the Tigers this season for two great local causes.”  

One More Child is a Lakeland-based nonprofit with national and global reach. One More Child helps children and families by providing food, foster care, family support programs and more. Lakeland-based kidsPACK is a nonprofit serving children in need by providing a backpack of nutritious food for them to take home each weekend. These backpacks are crucial in filling a need gap faced by those who don’t have access to regular meals on weekends. To learn more, visit kidspack.org.
