Mosaic Supports Forever 55 Community Investment Program
The Mosaic Company is reinforcing its commitment to help address food insecurity by partnering with the Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee and supporting its Forever 55 program. As Tampa Bay ramps up to host Super Bowl LV, together with the NFL and sponsors like us, the host committee’s investment in the community will remain far after the big game ends. The combined $2 million investment will focus on pillars that best reflect the needs of the community such as, health and wellness, sustainability, food insecurity, among others.
During these unprecedented times, food insecurity is at an all-time high. Feeding America estimates 54 million people in the U.S. are food insecure, including 18 million children. Feeding Tampa Bay has indicated that there has been a 400% increase in demand of its services since the start of the pandemic. Because of this, the Host Committee is partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay to provide continuing relief as part of the Forever 55 Program.
Recently, with the support of Mosaic, Feeding Tampa Bay was able to pack and deliver 1,800 family meal bags to area schools in need as an extension of the Feeding America Backpack Program. For more than 15 years, this program has been helping children get the food they need outside of school.
In addition, in partnership with NFL Green, the Host Committee’s Sustainability Program presented by TECO launched a Community Greening Program which includes a dozen greening projects throughout the Tampa Bay community. Working with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, Mosaic sponsored a community garden at the Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay. The garden will provide herbs and vegetables which participants will utilize in their cooking lessons.
Partnerships with community organizations and national events like the Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee are integral to Mosaic's approach to giving. They develop campaigns that support the Tampa Bay community, where we have significant operations and is home to The Mosaic Company headquarters. Giving back to the communities where we live and work is a cornerstone of how we do business. We are proud of our efforts and the impact we make.
